A conversation about addressing and surviving abuse for women with disabilities.
SPECIAL GUEST:
Jenna Hardy-Surina is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist based out of Southern California. After working for over a decade helping people with physical rehabilitation post SCI and other neuromuscular conditions, Jenna witnessed the major gap in the holistic care for people living with chronic disabilities and health conditions, especially when it came to addressing the mental and emotional aspects of these diagnoses. Wanting to do more, Jenna returned to school and achieved her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. Today, she works in private practice providing therapy services to help individuals and families through tough conversations to empower them to say “no” to giving-up, and help them discover their true potential for a fulfilling life after diagnosis.
Women & SCI/D Health Talks is a community lead program aimed to provide women with SCI information about sexual health and community and space to discuss topics such as sexuality, women’s health, and relationships.
