A conversation with two women with SCI/D pursuing higher education and exploring careers after spinal cord injury. Our special guests, Angeline and Barb, will share their experiences attending classes, navigating accommodations, and finding their niche in their college.

Women & SCI/D Health Talks is a community led program aimed to provide women with spinal cord injury information about health and community and space to discuss topics such as sexuality, women’s health, and relationships. 

SPECIAL GUESTS: Angeline Hamele & Barb Zablotney

Angeline Hamele

Angeline is a queer and multiply disabled undergraduate studying sociology & anthropology and disability studies at RIT. She also works as an adaptive tech designer & consultant, a research assistant, and blogger. In her free time, she likes finding new accessible adventures with her fiancé and best friends.

Barb Zablotney

Barb sustained a T8 spinal cord injury from a motor vehicle accident in 2007. She started her advocacy journey when she won the title of Ms. wheelchair Pennsylvania 2018. She currently is a senior at William Paterson University of New Jersey studying Disability Studies.
