PeerConnect: Entrepreneurship & Disability

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, people with disabilities are self-employed at a rate nearly twice that of their nondisabled peers. Our guest Chris Triebes, owner of The Congregation Event Promotion business from Peacock Original’s Born for Business and Jazmine McKinney, licensed esthetician will discuss their journey into entrepreneurship.

Chris Triebes

Chris Triebes is an entrepreneur from Wheaton IL. Focused on the live music space, he founded his first business at 18 years old and has taken on a variety of endeavors since. Currently, Chris is the owner and operator of a live music venue located in West Chicago called The WC Social Club, a ticketing platform Skeletix, and event production company The Congregation presents.

Jazmine McKinney

Jazmine Mckinney, born and raised in the rural southwestern area of NC has always loved and had a passion for all things beauty. She was injured in a car accident in 2005 that resulted in a T-5 spinal cord injury that left her a paraplegic. In 2022 Jazmine officially became a licensed esthetician, and is now on her journey to become an entrepreneur in the beauty industry.
